GJG to be remade in Tamil

Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (GJG) is a Nithiin Reddy movie, which has been one of the best romantic comedies to have released in the Telugu movie industry this year. Reports state that there might be a Tamil remake of the movie soon. GJG has seen overwhelming success, and there is a chance that the story will be sought out by Tamil film makers as well. According to sources in the film’s unit, a lot of big Tamil producers have already been in talks with GJG’s movie makers, expressing an interest in remaking the movie in Tamil. There is a chance that the movie will be remade in Tamil by the producers that made the original movie.

GJG was directed by the debutant director Vijay Kumar Konda. The movie featured Nithiin Reddy and Isha Talwar in the lead roles and it released on April 19th. The movie was actually produced by Nikhila, Nitiin’s sister. The movie was made with a budget of 11 crores and in just one weekend, the movie scooped 3.5 crores in Andhra Pradesh alone. This is the best opening for any Nitiin movie so far. The movie is likely to break even sometime this week. The satellite rights for the movie have been sold for a whopping 3.2 crores as well. This movie is the Nitiin’s second romantic film – the first one being “Ishq”.
