John Abraham to star in the remake of Mirchi

The Bollywood hunk John Abraham began his career in the film industry in 2003 and since then he has mostly avoided remakes. His movie Force was the remake of a Tamil movie, Kaakha Kaakha. He is now all set to appear in another remake. This time, he has chosen the Telegu movie titled Mirchi.

The Telegu film had been directed by Koratala Siva and starred artists like Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles. The film was released in February and became a blockbuster. When John saw the film, he was favorably impressed. “I saw the film and loved it a lot. We have bought the rights of the film and are quite excited to remake it here in Hindi. I would be acting in the film too,” said John to PTI.

John Abraham is now busy with a number of projects. After his Race 2 joined the 100 crores club, the actor has been busy with shooting for Madras café and Hamara Bajaj – films which he is producing himself. In addition, he is involved in several other projects likeWelcome back and Dostana 2. So, the cast and other details of the Mirchi remake have not yet been finalized.
