Salman Khan to star in ‘Veeram’ remake

It is now confirmed that Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s 2014 hit action film ‘Veeram’ will be remade in Hindi. Speculations had been doing rounds for some time that Salman Khan may be seen playing the lead role. Now it looks like that Salman will be part of the project ultimately. Salman Khan is known to like South Indian remakes and has starred in several such films. Reports are also suggesting that not just Salman but his family members may be part of the film as well.

Just like the original version, the hindi version too will be directed by Siruthai Siva. The director is now rewriting the script to suit Salman. The film is espected to go no floors early next year. A source close to director has said, Siva is currently writing the script for the Ajith flick and the talks have also been finalized. It is in an early stage of production and they have plans to start shooting from November. Apart from Ajith and Siva doing the film, no other detail (including the production house) has been finalized on the project.” There are reports that that the film will be a joint production between Salman Khan’s home production and Pritish Nandy. For the female lead, the name of Jacqueline Fernandez has been doing the rounds.
