The multi-starrer movie Raang De Basanti was a debut film for Siddharth, and a ticket to Bollywood. His role of a rich spoiled brat has surprised everyone. From then, he never had to turn back. Siddharth is basically a Tamil actor, and besides acting he is also a producer as well as playback singer. He grabbed all the debutant award for Raang De Basanti, in the year 2006.
Siddharth’s latest Tamil musical gangster film Jigarthanda which released as Chikkadu Dorakadu in Telegu, is also likely to be remade in Hindi as well. Bollywood has shown interest on this film to remake, as expressed by the film’s producer. The producer, Kathiresan also said that he can’t disclose anymore until and unless anything is jotted down on paper. But he had number of calls from the Bollywood producer who showed interest in remaking his film.
The story tells about a wannabe filmmaker who wants to make a film on gangster. The film also cast Simha and Lakshmi Menon. The movie is directed by the director of the film Pizza, which has also got remake in Bollywood as Pizza, and Golpo Holeo Sotti in Bengali, considering as the most intelligent horror movie ever made in Indian Cinemas. The film got released on August 1, and collected Rs. 10 Crore at the box office of Tamil Nadu till date.
