Vikram refuses to do ‘Drishyam’ in Tamil

With Jeethu Joseph still riding high on the success of the film ‘Drishyam’, there were talks of the movie being remade in Tamil, with actor Vikram expressing interest in doing the film. Although the industry saw a lot of releases throughout the year, ‘Drishyam’ which was a year end release still has people raving about it. But now, according to reports, Vikram does not wish to do the remake of the film in Tamil.

After seeing the movie, many stars in other film industries expressed their wish to be a part of the film and perform the role of Georgekutty which has been done by Mohanlal in the movie. The film has been sold for Rs. 6.5 crores, the rights of which have been taken by Mohanlal’s brother in law, Suresh Balaji for an amount of Rs. 1.55 crores, according to rumours. The satellite rights of the film have been bagged by Asianet for an amount of Rs. 6.5 crores. Vikram was extremely excited to do the role and according to news, he was already in talks in Balaji.

But now, reports are abuzz with the news that Vikram will not do the Tamil remake of the film. After his movie ‘Ai’, he is all set to begin his next project ‘Rascal’.
