Vinod Sukumaran’s first feature film is titled ‘Haram’

Director Vinod Sukumaran earned recognition with his 2001 short film ‘Diary of a Housewife’ which won the national award for best non-feature film. It was also shown in various international festivals. Now the talented filmmaker is all set to direct his first feature length film. The film titles ‘Haram’ has popular actor Fahadh Faasil and Radhika Apte playing the lead roles. Fahadh will be seen playing the role of a charming youngster named Balu. Actress Radhika Apte will be making her Malayalam debut with this film. The rest of the cast consists of actors like- Madhupal, Sreekumar, Binoy, Rajshri Deshpande and others. Saji Samuel and P. Sukumar are producing the film under the banner of Odd Impressions & Big leaf. Thaikkudam Bridge has been given the responsibility of directing the film while Satish Kurup will handle the cinematography.

Before coming into direction Vinod Sukumaran has worked as an editor with noted filmmakers like Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt and Sudhir Mishra. He has also won awards for his editing work. After reading the script , Radhika Apte was impressed with this urban romance film. She will be playing the character of Ameena in the film. Apte has also worked in Bengali, Hindi and Marathi films.
